he New York Art Book Fair, organized by Printed Matter, returned to the vast hallways and endless studio spaces of MoMa PS1 for the tenth time on the weekend of September 18-20.
For us at Splacer, the book fair culminates so many different areas of fascination: beginning with the space itself, a converted public school, going through the dozens of presenters, coming in from all over the world to share their passion for print, and, of course, the neighborhood itself, which is undergoing so many changes during the last decade.
This past weekend was no exception. Over 370 exhibitors, ranging from independent pursuits to established publishers, showed their books, prints, zines, images and albums to thousands of visitors. We were also very excited to meet Artport, our friends from Tel Aviv. We also joined in on the extraordinary lineup of events, which included workshops, conversations and participatory sessions. As always, we can’t wait for next year!
