What’s the best event you’ve ever hosted?
Last year I hosted ONTOPO, a weekend of site-specific sound and art installations, sustainable building workshops, local food and plant seminars. It was an inspiring blast!
What’s the best event you’ve ever attended?
All night Day of the Dead dance party in a Spanish mission ruin in the desert outside of Oaxaca
What’s your pre-event routine?
I do a round of the entire property, making sure that all of the spaces are prepared and that the sheep and goat fence is securely fastened!
What’s your post-event routine?
Take a day off and then clean up and get ready to do it all over again.
What’s the best host(ess) gift you’ve ever received?
I hosted a wedding a few years ago and the groom made me a beautiful Outlier Inn mug which is displayed proudly on the mantle.
What’s your favorite way to break the ice at a dinner party?
I make a mean margarita!
What’s your dream event location?
A geodesic dome in the middle of the forest…..!
What’s your advice for mastering small talk?
Find something of substance to discuss asap. These days, there’s plenty of it…
