Located on the second floor of the Paseo Colorado shopping mall, foot traffic is light and the surrounding area is extremely safe. Easy access to a multitude of dining, shopping, and entertainment options, as well as hundreds of underground parking spots and street parking. This striking space is part of a 16-unit complex designed between 1926 and 1939 by R.M. Schindler​, one of the forefathers of Modern architecture, on a street-to-street downward sloping lot in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles. Schindler’s client for the project was his friend Herman Sachs, a Romanian-born muralist and decorator known for his work on the Bullocks Wilshire Building, Union Station, and City Hall. Synonymous with old Hollywood glamour, the apartment at this Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument feels like being in a bygone era. It’s an inspiring space, with improbably high ceilings and a huge window showcasing the unobstructed views overlooking Los Feliz, the iconic Hollywood sign, and the Griffith Observatory. The space employs extensive use of glass, plaster, and wood – characteristics of the Modernist style with which Schindler is usually associated – in addition to a distinctive art deco flair. Sachs was known for using his studio loft workspace as a gathering space, often hosting dinners and concerts for his coterie of bohemian friends. During a painstaking three year restoration, the original cabinetry, finishes, and Schindler-designed furniture were carefully researched and, wherever possible, restored or re-created. The first floor space has an airy, open concept living/dining room and full kitchen, in addition to a half bath and large closet/storage space (in addition to a Origin Acoustics 7.1 surround-sound speaker system with six recessed speakers and subwoofer, Paradigm soundbar, high-end projector, and hanging art installation system. Use of these features may be possible, depending on the intended usage). The second floor space has a sleeping space with daybed, full bathroom, and entryway/office that is ideal for hair and makeup. Schindler was a genius at window placement - natural light streams throughout every nook and cranny of the apartment. The Platform Home designed furniture (tables, stacking chairs, couch, hexagon seater, stools, daybed, etc.) has been selected for easy breakdown or reconfiguration, making the apartment an ideal setting for a multitude of shoots and events.

Artist Studio in Treehouse Cabin with natural trails on spacious property Nestled in the heart of Topanga this 2 acres property features a rustic treehouse cabin with a large artist studio on the second level. The studio area has vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, 2 skylights, bamboo floors, 3 glass sliding doors and lots of natural light. The studio also has a wood deck that wraps around 2 sides of the structure, overlooking the creek. Below the studio treehouse, there is an open-air space with concrete floors that works great for staging and other various production needs. This area has optional canvas curtains for more privacy and can also be utilized for filming if it fits your location needs. This treehouse studio is situated in the center of our grounds offering easy access to all other areas around the property! Surrounding the treehouse there is a large yard that can be used and shot in various ways. Set builds are okay in this outdoor space with prior discussion and approval. The other exterior areas of the property are easily walkable and include a natural wood bridge that overlooks the natural creek-bed, which winds through the heart of the property. With several access points, this creek-bed creates our own private hiking trail encompassed with enchanting oaks, sycamores, and eucalyptus trees. There are also several vantages points to shoot the creek from high angles. Additional interior areas may be available upon request and on a case by case basis. A generator is available onsite for excess power capabilities. The on-site manager will also be available during shoots. Parking for up to 9 vehicles or 4 trailers on site, as well as street parking available on the boulevard. There is a nearby lot ( 2 min drive) available for rent for multiple large trailers, production trucks, and shuttle service. This property has been used in several films including Prizzi's Honor directed by John Huston. An authentic Balinese-inspired villa and poolside oasis. We have spared no expense in making the experience feel like you're walking into another world. We wanted elegance, comfort and color. Each of the three bedrooms are inspired by our travels throughout Bali, and have their own distinct theme: "White Room" (designed for complete tranquility), "Bohemia" (inspired by our love of the lush Balinese jungle) and the Master Suite (inspired by our love of indoor/outdoor living that is so prevalent in Bali). The kitchen, two living rooms, and dining area are completely open plan, with modern design and photography in mind. The living area overlooks our Balinese-inspired pool area, complete with custom-made Saraswati Daybed, outdoor teak dining table (which accommodates up to 10 people), and sun beds. The entire garden is surrounded by Bamboo, and the pool decking is reclaimed Ulin wood, all of which we had shipped from Bali. We wanted to bring a genuine Balinese poolside experience. The Master Suite looks out onto a private tropical grass garden and faces a handmade Buddha water fountain. This area also connects to the poolside area. The master suite bathroom has a unique black theme with a large golden citrine crystal. This was inspired by the black sand beaches beneath Mount Agung. There is a 12-inch rain shower, set against an opaque glass panel which gives the impression of being in the jungle. The entire home has smart lighting, which we have made really easy to use. At the touch of a button, you can set your desired scene. If you don't feel like touching a button, no problem: all the lights in the living and outdoor areas are completely automated, designed to enhance your mood as the evening goes on. While designing this villa, we thought a lot about content creation, and have built out a ton of great places to capture unique photos, and film.

Within the 20 acre estate, the two private homes, Sky Mountain Villa and Infinity Bungalows, are close enough to walk or drive between, if you should book both, but they are also far enough apart with separate entrances to ensure complete privacy during your stay.

The beautiful exterior welcomes you with a brick facade and turtle pond at the entrance. Inside, the main room is light-filled (perfect for film photography), with an elegant arrangement of antique furniture. The tall, original hand-painted wood beamed ceilings, mural wall, grand mirrors and stone archway tell a story of another time. Complete with 2 large dressing rooms, and a gown gallery filled with vintage inspired wedding dresses. The back office area consists of 3 offices, 3 restrooms, a sewing workroom, and full kitchen with sink, refrigerator, and microwave, perfect for crew lunches and/or catering setup.
