For rental is a 1670 square foot set of three rooms, centered around a classroom equipped with photography gear. This space is available for photo and film shoots, as well as rehearsals and small events.
The Classroom is 855 square feet total, measuring roughly 36 feet long, 25 feet wide, and 9 feet high. Its shape is a rectangle with one small corner omitted.
This room was most likely formerly used as a Sunday School classroom, as it is located underneath a church. Upon one wall is a chalkboard, always stocked with new white and colored chalk and an eraser. Feel free to erase and draw your own creations. Two of the walls are beautifully aged with revealed bricks peeking from beneath a retro blue paint job. The floor is combination of tan tiles and the black basement foundation beneath. The ceiling is composed of tiled tin and exposed pipes. There's a door leading to the backyard.
Four windows let in a significant amount of daylight. All the windows are outfitted with blackout curtains. Six new fluorescent ceiling lights fill the room with bright light, or you can keep them off and let the photography gear do the illuminating.

In addition to the Classroom, which is the heart of this venue, we have a backyard and an unfinished back hallway. The backyard is roughly 600 square feet, measuring 45 feet long and 13.5 feet wide, its shape curving slightly. We have big plans to make the Backyard an elaborate and beautiful setting. For now, it is has plenty of everyday grit and neighborhood magic in its visuals.
The Back Hallway has a dim and creepy atmosphere, with little nooks of wood, dirt, and concrete, plus a stairway. The hall is roughly 215 square feet, measuring 27 feet long by 8 feet wide and 7 feet high, with height variances at the two staircases.
A video tour of the venue is available here: https://youtu.be/xVsWujC8ZNY

The final outlet is powered by a separate 20 amp circuit. The room comes permanently equipped with two extension cords and two power strips. Each of the power strips has 10 three-prong outlets and 4 USB inputs.
The space is equipped with a powerful WIFI network.
All renters are able to rent our Panasonic VZ-580 video projector and project it onto the wall, or onto the white paper backdrop. Use of this equipment costs an additional fee.

We regret that at this time, our space does not offer wheelchair access. We’ve spent the last year restoring this basement from the 1800s, but we are not yet at the point where we can afford to build ramps or elevators. With the help of your rentals, our budget will get there. Thank you for your patience.
Our space is more popular on weekends, and so you will notice that our hourly rate on Saturday, Sunday, and Friday evenings is higher. This difference is intentional.
This is located on Bushwick Avenue near the Halsey J and Gates J stations, and a 12 minute walk from the Myrtle Wyckoff L / M station.
