The Space

An unrivalled destination where the sophistication of the old world meets the exciting and bountiful present. Built in 1853, Captain Barnes is one of the last remaining homes of "Captain's Row”, located on the North Shore waterfront of Staten Island. As a Landmarked Mansion, it''s history is felt on every level, from the once speakeasy ground floor to the roof level cupola where Captain’s would look over their bay. A haunted aura is met with a transcending quality of lavish personality through the homes eclectic décor. The exterior is Italianate in its style with gothic revival and romantic features. Every room holds a unique feeling and story. The backdrops within the rooms are nothing short of abundant. Throughout the Mansion you will find a variety of textured walls - vibrant and layered from personalities throughout time. Others charred and weathered from a fire which struck the house decades ago. All providing textures that are uniquely created by the Mansion's history. We consider this location a stage with versatility to create any look. From Candelabras, Peacocks, Mermaids, Disco Balls to Classic Cars - the Mansion holds an enormous range of rare props that can take your vision to the next level. Each room is currently staged as but if it you seek a certain aesthetic, please enquire about using additional props and reconfiguration of rooms for your production. The house has four floors, a roof-top cupola, and outdoor setting - all of which are available for your use. Here are a few features of the home: The outdoors includes– - 40 x 20 Saltwater Pool - Classic Cars - A magical English Garden with exotic Chickens and Turkeys The Ground Floor includes - - A Venetian Spa Room with an In-Ground Hot Tub and Steam Shower - Commercial Appliance Kitchen and a Wood Fired Pizza Oven - Stone Floors and Exposed Brick - Antique doors - Sculptures - Fireplaces - Full sound system with CDJS The First Floor includes - - A 10 foot round tiger oak dining table - High Ceilings and Hardwood Floors - A Palatial Kitsch wonder room with exuberant backdrops from a Disco Shark to a Grand Piano - A Complete Bar with ice machine, fridge, soda gun Second Floor - Circa 1850 Italian Walnut furniture - Many props available including furniture, art and architectural salvage - A variety of Textured Walls, doors and backdrops - A Juliet Balcony Third Floor- • Open floor plan Whitewashed attic studio space with speakers, perfect for wardrobe and hair & makeup. • A Vintage bohemian lounge with a variety of shabby chic textures. & a Roof level cupola Additional Features: • Parking: 60’x 100’ parking lot adjacent to home is available for an additional fee, plenty of free street parking • Additional props and furniture available for use The magic of the mansion and all that it holds can only be truly experienced in person, we encourage and welcome you to come and visit before you book.

COVID COMPLIANCE As a location that holds a member with COVID Compliant training (C19CO/ HSS) we offer an optional management in compliance with the CDC guidelines throughout the event for a fee of $500 per day. This includes a COVID Compliant trained member of our team who will work the full day dedicated to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 on site, this role includes: • Taking mandatory temperature checks at the door, prior to entry. Will ask and turn away any person who is sick or exhibiting COVID-19 or flu like symptoms or if they have been in contact with anyone in the past two weeks with COVID-19. • Will promote that all employees, cast and crew wear acceptable face coverings at all times within the location. Only the model will be allowed to not wear a mask during shooting or whilst she/he is having hair and makeup done. They will be required to wear a mask at all other times. • Will help enforce 6ft social distancing whenever possible. • Will conduct regular cleaning and sanitising of common spaces and frequently touched surfaces. • Maintain 8 Sanitising stations throughout the house which will include: Hand Sanitizer, Paper Towels, Antibacterial Wipes and Waste bins. • Supply masks and gloves. • Full face shields will be provided for the Hair & Makeup team. • Placing signage throughout the home referring to COVID-19 Guidelines. • Carting and disposing of all trash throughout and post event.
