The Space

PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE BOOKING The Boombox Room in Brooklyn, NY is a playground for your creativity. This unique production studio breathes nostalgia through the massive collage of boomboxes and small retro finds like a working payphone and vintage tv. On the opposite side of the boomboxes, there is a color-blocking wall. On the wall opposite the window, there's a projector that can airplay any video content you have on your devices. Inquire more about lighting and staff. House rules: • DO NOT leave the door open during your booking. • DO NOT leave equipment in the hallway. DO NOT hang out in the hallways • NO LOUD MUSIC, NO LIVE MUSIC and NO excessive stomping on the floors. We have to respect the neighboring studios, especially during daytime hours. • NO outside speakers. There's a Boom 3 bluetooth speaker available for your use in the studio. • ABSOLUTELY no smoking marijuana, cigarettes, vapes in the studio or anywhere in the building - Any smoking will result in an $500 fee and an automatic non-refundable cancellation of your booking. • Your booking should show exactly how many people are attending. Bringing more people than mentioned is subject to an additional fee • The hallways and staircase and front of building are NOT a part of your booking. Please only use the studio space. • OVERTIME: Overtime is subject to 1.5 times the hourly rate extra charge If you do not notify the host 30 minutes prior to the end of your booking. We enforce overtime strictly and overtime starts the minute your time is up and is charged by 30 min intervals. • DO NOT lean on boomboxes and DO NOT move boomboxes on the wall. • Leave the space in the same condition that you found it, there is a trash bin located outside of the unit by the floors main door. Excess trash will result in an additional cleaning fee. • NO confetti, glitter, feather or anything similar should be used. This will result in an additional cleaning fee. • BE ON TIME. Your reservation must include all the time you need to set up, shoot, clean up, and vacate the studio. You cannot enter the studio early, and you’re expected to vacate your studio no later than the time your reservation ends. • Any excess cleaning fees will show up as an overtime charge.
