Hi, we are Matka: Maciek and Erica. We are a creative couple who created a photo studio together. Individually, we are a photographer and model who love to work on projects. Together, we have taken our love of plants and photography and built this space.

The Space

We are the only urban jungle photo studio in New York. What does this mean? We offer over 25 plants in our space, including a Chinese fan palm, a bird of paradise, a a rubber tree and many other succulents and huge leaf tropical plants. All of these plants thrive due to the ten-foot-tall floor-to-ceiling windows that face southwest. All day the the studio is flooded by indirect light. We offer twenty seamless papers for you to choose from. Profoto Acute pack w/three heads and medium softbox is available for FREE. All stands, apple boxes and extension cords come FREE as well. A beautiful marble table is available for meetings and conferences and photo shoot lunches.

We are very serious about safety at Matka studio. All surfaces are wiped down after every shoot. Masks are provided if guests do not have one. Thank you for practicing social distancing.
