I live on a beautiful ranch in a completely rural setting on a dirt road, just 5 minutes from civilization. The house and yard have been used in several independant film shoots as well as dozens of photo shoots. I have a background in the movie industry as a production coordinator, so I'm easy to work with because I understand what you need and will accommodate you as much as possible.

The Space

I live in a quirky 80-year-old ranch house on a 20-acre ranch, just a mile north of Santa Clarita. You drive down a long dirt road to get here, and it's secluded but very close to everything you need. Starbucks is literally 2.5 miles away. We have a large front yard with a huge handmade stone firepit, surrounded by tree stumps to sit and roast marshmallows. It looks like a rural campground, but it's 20 steps to the front door of the house. There is a huge backyard with no fence, looking out to rolling hills and another dirt road to the neighbor's house. Inside, we have a large living room with a huge floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, wood beams, and wood floors. We have a big family and lots of pets, so the entire 5-bedroom home is not available for use, but filming can be done in the living room, dining room, and kitchen area (pictured). The large front and back yard, side yard, and patio are also all available. All of these areas have been used by indie film crews and photographers several times. The yard has been dressed as a campground and as a hippie commune and works well for either. Small film crews only (Less than 30 people total). We have elderly neighbors very nearby and we don't like to disturb them with too much commotion. There is parking for 5-8 cars right by the house, and unlimited parking a short distance away (3-minute walk). There is also an undeveloped area nearby with trees, hills, and brush that may be available to a very small crew (less than 10 people) if you need some wilderness but I would need to chaperone per neighbors' wishes. We even have a huge spooky basement! It has cement floors, wood posts and beams, old rustic wooden shelving, and is just pretty creepy in general.
