Spanish Estate overlooking Silicon Valley

The Space
The Old Curtner Estate in the foothills below Mt. Hamilton and Lick Observatory, was built in the Spanish Revival, old California style of the 1920s. Built in 1926, it boasts multiple brick courtyards, fountains, and gardens. It's 80 year old Japanese Maple is the majestic centerpiece of the main courtyard and the impeccably manicured grounds designed by Thomas Church in 1939 are beautifully tranquil and overlook The Valley below. Within the garden are outdoor (open air) rooms for lounging or hosting smaller, intimate gatherings or corporate meetings. The main lawn can accommodate parties of 150 for dinner and dancing while admiring the breathtaking views. On the property you will also find a 52 tree orchard and chicken coop perfect for horticulture conferences or backyard chicken keeping workshops. This property is truly magical. It is not surprising it's nickname is Hacienda El Encanto.
