The Space

Located in Southwest Berkeley, our building features 20,000 square feet of operable space On the second floor, our space features an open floor plan format with several conference rooms, office suits, and additional coworking desks. With an abundance of natural light, plant life, and a balance between communal and private work areas, we offer a flexible working environment that inspires productivity and creativity. Conference Room Amenities - 236 sq ft conference room (13.5' x 17.5') - 65" TV screen - Access to additional open desks outside the conference room - High-speed wireless internet and printer/scanner - Full kitchen plus stocked kitchenette with coffee, tea, and snacks - Furnished with 3-person couch, chair & coffee table - Gender neutral restrooms - Discounted use of first floor studio spaces (as available) - an art gallery dedicated to rotating artworks by emerging local artists. - Rental rate covers a maximum 10 hr day during regular business hours. Overtime and weekends are possible for an additional fee with advance notice. About Us Ciel is a creative sanctuary. We provide event space, studios, galleries, and office suites for creative professionals to make their best work. From the emerging visual artist to the director, we are here to support every stage of your process. Located in Southwest Berkeley, where creativity is embedded into the very fabric of the San Francisco Bay Area, we seek to support the arts through our communal partnerships. While the second floor features our collaborative workspace, the first floor features four production studios with the ability to rent for large scale photo/film productions and events. Each of our studios are fashioned with four directors’ chairs, folding tables/chairs, apple boxes, sandbags, and laundry hampers. We have limited parking onsite which is subject to availability. Also located in house are our production partners, Ranahan Production Services and Little Giant Lighting & Grip Co. We are happy to act as your liaison to procure their services during your time at Ciel. For production inquiries, we have tons of equipment available on-site for rental. Additionally, we have nine studios for photo and film production. Otherwise, this is a perfect off-site space for an individual or small team! Whiteboard is available as an add-on.
