Located in the heart of West Chelsea’s gallery district and just one block from the Highline, the building has been home to prominent arts institutions for decades. In 1982, the Dia Center for the Arts acquired 548 West and operated the “Dia Building” as its primary gallery and museum until they sold the property in 2007. Hauser & Wirth leased the entire building as both gallery and office space from 2016 through 2020. CRG Gallery and the Zach Feurer Gallery are among other arts users who have rented space within 548 West.
