Vintage Bistro + Bar / Masonic Hall

This is a neighborhood bistro and bar delivering one of the most lively and welcoming dining experiences in Los Angeles, including delicious food and libations, friendly service and a laidback, unpretentious atmosphere. Located on the second floor of a thoughtfully restored Masonic Hall in the heart of L.A.'s Highland Park, the hall exudes vintage-era warmth and charm, with a dining room designed by L.A.-based Design, Bitches, and a menu and hospitality approach intended to celebrate and continue the building's nearly century-long history as a community gathering place. Chef Hovig Agop's Mediterranean menu offers a range of modern dips, salads, small plates and entrees at affordable price points, making the hall an ideal destination for both everyday dining and special occasions. Our bar program includes beer, wine and creative "fast craft" cocktails that playfully pay homage to the establishment's Masonic temple past, such as the Chapter Sweetheart, Hall Grog and Johnny the Giant (a tribute to eight-foot-tall silent film star John Aasen, who was inducted into the Masons at Checker Hall in 1924). Adjacent to sister venue, the hall provides a unique, built-in culinary experience for music fans, redefining the quintessential "dinner and a show."
