Those of you who are the same already know the major players in the architecture Instagram account game — among them are the account for magazine Architectural Digest and Curbed — and if you don’t, these profiles can kickstart you with a more obscure experience. For the person that’s hunting for more abstract, stylized, niche or hidden gem accounts, these profiles have got you covered.
@atelierars
This account is the work of Alejandro Guerrero and Andrea Soto of the Guadalajara-based architecture firm, Atelier ARS. Their beautifully photographed posts show their upcoming and current projects. Look their their profile to see their modern-meets-nature-meets-history style.

This account specializes in abstract images that emphasizes the lines of a building. The color palette is primarily white and blue (albeit this picture showing red) giving it a clean and minimalist look.

This account should come with a warning. Make sure you don’t have somewhere to be any time soon because there’s no turning back once you get a glimpse of this accounts international collection of spaces you won’t believe even exist. In fact, it might be about time for a vacation.

This account strikes a great balance between design and architecture. You’ll find that many of the images are shot by famous photographers. The Moments in Design profile has a beautiful aesthetic in both the content and their capturing.

Photo columnist for Architectural Digest Germany, Sebastian Weiss, is the curator of this account. This profile (like @_ingo_1) has an abstract aesthetic, but has a much more diverse color spectrum.

Chloë McCarthy’s Instagram account aesthetic modern. She mixes the iconic, like Pierre Cardin’s Palais Bulle shown above, with sculpture and work by architectural photographers. This is the account a minimalist or modernist artist will want to follow.

This Chicago native account shows less big name architects and more often overlooked spaces we see everyday. The documentation is beautiful and the subject matter is aesthetically and geographically diverse.

This image of Le Corbusier’s Chapelle Notre-Dame du Haut, in Ronchamp, was taken by Japanese fashion designer Yuko Mouton as are most of (if not all) the photos on her profile. Mouton’s account is a compilation of spaces she has seen in person and are less predictable in terms of documentation style and content. Follow Yuko’s account to feel like you’re traveling with her.

Marcio Kogan’s account is scattered between images of his everyday life, ranging from photos of hot dogs, rainbows and stills from The Shining, to ‘stop you in your tracks’ posts of his projects. Kogan is an internationally recognized Brazilian architect whose account is well worth the occasional interruption of hot dog photos.

Fabled architect Ricardo Bofill, designer of the also legendary La Muralla Roja in Spain (pictured above), has an account filled with images of his firms projects. The posts range from decade old projects to ones that are present and upcoming. This account is wonderful for watching the evolution of this firms design.
