Brunch with Coffee and Champagne

T

his past Sunday, prominent New York City food bloggers came together for a delectable brunch hosted by the one and only Michelle Williams of Coffee and Champagne. Desiring to unveil several new recipes and showcase old favorites, Michelle and her husband prepared for three days straight in our Bowery Loft. The cozy atmosphere and communal table allowed Michelle’s edible creations to truly shine as food-lovers celebrated.

Bloggers Brunch Boys, One Hungry Jew, No Leftovers, Molly Tavoletti, The Brothers Buoy, Carnivorr, Cheat Day Eats, Jason Eats, Gotham Burger Social Club, and Indulgent Eats all joined Michelle in the fun. What could be better than an afternoon of chowing down on ten dishes cooked by one of their own? Each guest was wowed by Michelle’s creations. After sampling all of them, Michelle says that everyone lounged on the loft’s couches and furniture, as they all were absolutely stuffed.

The loft’s spacious table gave Michelle the opportunity to landscape. Lavender, flowers, and personalized S’well bottles added character, while also perfectly complementing the dishes that were served. Groceries needed to construct certain dishes were delivered from Fresh Direct.

Michelle aimed to give guests an insider look at her cooking style and routine. As she placed finishing touches on dishes and prepared meals, Michelle even put on the exact playlist she always listens to when making meals. She wanted guests to see the magic happening, hoping that guests would feel as if they were in her own kitchen.

For the brunch, Michelle prepared various new recipes that will soon be released on her blog – think hummus with delicious basil, pizza with a unique twist, lobster mac, potato waffles, and so much more.

Michelle believes that this type of an event is “a great thing to do a couple of times a year,” as it brings together friends, allows her to experiment and show off new recipes, and is very unique and exciting. It proved to be a huge success – not a single guest left until Michelle herself did, choosing instead to revel in the spectacular brunch and relax in the comfortable loft.
