The address has a lofty history not only as a much desired commercial property but also as a private residence. Once home of the iconic Elizabeth Taylor, the space finds itself in the heart of Midtown's Plaza District, long storied for its world-class restaurants and shopping venues. This stunning townhouse was designed by Warren and Wetmore, who also designed Grand Central Station, in a Beaux-Arts style. The building is 16,316 square feet and has 6 floors with different layouts and charming details throughout.
New York | Chelsea$345 per hour100Located in the heart of Chelsea's art district, our space is an artists’ haven! This spacious 2,000 sq. ft. loft is ideal for photo-shoots, film/TV, exclusive events, and more. Designed by a sculptor, all of the elements in this space are truly unique. Many highlights of the space can be seen in the various textures and custom designed furniture. Features include: 2,000 sq. ft. 11 ft. high ceilings. Various shooting textures, including: Large white brick wall, exposed brick wall, clean white wall, concrete with natural stone designed full kitchen & bathroom, white stained oak wood accent wall, 100+ year old metal doors, fire escape, and white stained flooring. Kitchen includes a unique floating concrete bar. 2 custom designed oak wood benches. Private room available for hair/makeup & styling changes. Large windows which provide beautiful natural light in the day. Custom designed light sconces and track lighting offer a chic ambiance in the evening. Furniture options on-site are available. Full service lighting/digital equipment available if requested prior to booking for photo & film shoots. Digital techs and assistants available. Stationary HD Projector with 100 inch drop screen available. RULES: Please include set-up and break down times in the time of your booking. The booking time starts running when staff or people enter the Loft. Notify us about all delivery and pick-up times before the event, so we can make sure someone is on-site. For private events and weddings, our maximum capacity is 80 people and we are allowed to make noise until 11 pm. We can book larger events for product launches, press presentations or exhibitions. We do not allow excessive cooking or frying, light catering or pre-prepared food is OK. Please notify us of any changes in reservations at least 48 hours before booking time. If licensee or crew arrives earlier than the stated time in booking, then the clock will begin at that arrival time. No crew or deliveries are permitted on our premises outside of the hours without previous approval. Moving or rearranging furniture is the responsibility of licensee. Our space can be customized, but comes as is, therefore has to be rearranged as well after all bookings. -We work with the best event planners and producers, who can find you the best and fastest solutions to make all your event goals happen! Feel free to reach out for suggestions if you need help. -Our venue requires a daily liquor permit for beer & wine, or a caterer's license if you serve alcohol. You can get a liquor license on the link below, they are surprisingly inexpensive: https://www.sla.ny.gov/online-permit-applications -Early delivery fee is $300.00, and overnight storage fee is $600.00 (You can request a delivery window at least 48 hours prior to booking time) Damages (walls, floors, furniture, etc) will be billed to the credit card on file with Splacer. There is no smoking allowed in the space. No glitter, sparklers or confetti. Overtime will be billed in half-hour increments at a rate of 1.5 times our stated hourly rate. Please refer to Splacer’s Terms and Conditions for all other rules. A/V: -The Denon A/V system: You can connect your personal devices to our sound system using our cable (same as your headphones) or Apple AirPlay. The speakers can go up to 60 dB (numbers on screen) -The projector: It is connected to a PC with Windows OS. You can transfer files to it via usb, online or using a DVD. If you will be using it for multiple purposes at once (music and visual) the music should be playing via the browser. We suggest making your playlist or video available via youtube, soundcloud, email or any online platform. -We also have a separate portable and powerful bluetooth speaker (Behringer) for other devices and microphones and we can provide 1 microphone. CONTACT: We require someone to check people in by our front door to the building if your guest list or team is larger than 30-40 people. -I will continue to be your point of contact. We will be on site during the entire booking. -A walk-through is preferred after every booking with our team member on-site. Furniture has to be moved back to it's original place if it is rearranged. -Trash goes out at night and is placed on the curb, it will be picked up in the early AM. -We have all paper goods covered (meaning no need to bring any and our team takes care of basic cleaning after the booking!)

There are many subway lines are within a two block radius, minutes to Penn Station transportation hub for Amtrak,LIRR and NJ Transit travel options. There are street parking, commercial parking and garage parking across the street and around the blocks. About booking: Price quote varies based on the impact of the event. (Guest number, Loading in and out , furniture rearrangment, use of extra break out room...etc..) For 20+ guest large group/crew event, rate starts at $460/hour. Weekend starting rate: $500/hour. For a premium fee, we also provide beautiful dishware, glassware, flatware, and linens for up to 25 people seated event setting. We could also recommend bartender/server/cleaner service upon request. Any other décor would need to be rented and we would be happy to assist you with ideas and vendors should you request.
