The Space
Hello! By day we're a coffee shop and bookstore on the South Side of Chicago. Tucked away in an idyllic brick building, Build's indoor space and outdoor patio are ideal for meetings, parties, workshops, performances, screenings, and summer BBQs, and more. In total, there is approximately 1450 square feet of rentable space. The patio is approximately 950 square feet and can comfortably seat 50 people for a seated dinner, 75 for a cocktail style gathering. The indoor space is about 500 square feet and can comfortably seat 20 at tables, 40 seated for a presentation, or 50 standing. We offer on-site pastries and beverage service (coffee and teas), or allow outside catering.

Health & Safety Policy
Renters are asked to communicate the following COVID protocol to guests prior to the event: - Do not attend if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. - Do not attend if you have had a recent exposure to COVID-19 and do not have a negative rapid test from the day of the event.
