Your hosts are Jarret and Dan.Jarret, an interior designer and Dan, a Marine and retired firefighter and 9/11 first responder have been together for over 18 years, and have lovingly restored this historic 160 plus year old Brooklyn brownstone. Jarret owns his own interior design business and has meticulously brought this house back to its former beauty. Originally from Hawaii, he has called New York City home for over 20 years now.

The Space

We offer a beautiful 650 square foot , elegantly appointed parlor floor apartment in a 135 year old Brooklyn brownstone that has been completely renovated by New York interior designer, Jarret Yoshida. We've protected as much of the original architectural detail as we could, keeping a very traditional feel to the space. The space includes 11 foot ceilings, original mahogany entry, parlor, closet and bathroom doors, original pine shutters, two magnificent marble fireplaces and more. We updated the space with interior elements and furnishings to make the space feel current, make it feel like what is happening in Brooklyn today. The space is also surrounded by some of our art collection, ranging from a 150 year old Japanese screen to new and upcoming local artists. The furnishings and decorative elements have been sourced from a variety of places like the Brimfield Flea Market in Massachusetts , Mid Century shops in Miami to the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Los Angeles. We've also used more traditional interior designer resources like Paul Smith, Cowtan and Tout and more -- all to make the space feel both traditional and current. Health and SafetyHealth & Safety Policy

Only one party is booked at a time. A professional cleaner cleans the entire space between bookings. Hosts wear masks when interacting with guests. All guests must be fully vaccinated and show proof before the booking is accepted. The hosts are fully vaccinated. Enhanced cleaning measures: The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings Host Completes the following between bookings: Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space. Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances. Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable. Remove garbage and add new lining to cans. Provided by host: Hand Sanitizer Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels Physical Distance: Capacity is limited based on governmental guidelines Space has access to outdoor air ventilation
