A beautiful, former bank building designed by Frederick Osterling. The roof was completely replaced and main floors recreated in polished concrete. The stairwell and terrazzo landings were largely preserved and a skylight added above to bring in light. The original window forms were also preserved with new custom-made windows. Now hosting coworking and other commercial tenants.

The Space

Located in the heart of East Liberty, the Liberty Bank Building offers over 10,000 square feet of freshly renovated Coworking, office, and event space. Designed by Frederick Osterling and built in 1890, the building was purchased from the URA and underwent a full interior gut and renovation. The roof was completely replaced and floors stripped down and covered in polished concrete. The stairwell and terrazzo landings were largely preserved and a skylight added above to bring in light. The original window forms were also preserved with new custom-made windows. Our 1,200 sq ft flexible event space in the 202 suite features enormous windows, tons of natural light, a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and filtered water dispenser, ADA bathroom, and is elevator accessible. Bookings include access to one of the attached private offices for use as a breakout room, and a main space that is currently furnished with six (6) tables and twenty-four (24) chairs for seating. There is also a couch in the lounge area. Please note that we will require proof of event insurance (including Host Liquor Liability coverage, regardless of planned alcohol usage onsite) prior to the start of the event - this protects both us and you! Liberty Bank Building, LP - 6101 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh PA 15206 must be listed under "Additional Insured". Please ensure your booking allows enough time for setup and cleanup, as access to the space begins at the start of booked time and the cleaning deposit will only be returned upon sign-off from LBB staff if the space is returned to its pre-event status by the end of booked time.

The safety and well being of our guests is our top priority. We are committed to the overall wellbeing of our guests and have taken additional measures to ensure the cleanliness of our space. We have updated and developed cleaning and safety policies to help limit the impact of the COVID-19 spread on our guests and employees. We refer to the recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and CDC Guidance for Cleaning and Disinfecting (CDC) to implement the following: Cleaning We are implementing enhanced cleaning procedures in our space to protect our guests. These include: Our staff is following the cleaning and hygiene guidance recommended by the CDC. We are thoroughly cleaning our space and all shared surfaces regularly, before and after each booking, with disinfectant. We use detergent to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs. Once the surface is clean, we spray with a disinfectant.. We provide essential amenities such as hand soap, paper towels, tissues, and a trash can with foot pedal. Hygiene While our space is in use we ask to please follow these hygiene guidelines: Wash your hands frequently and properly Use your arm or sleeve when coughing or sneezing, and use hand sanitizer regularly Dispose of tissues immediately and wash hands or use sanitizer any time you have used tissues If You Are Sick For everyone's safety, we are asking guests who are displaying even mild flu-like symptoms, including fever, cough, and cold to stay home. Please notify us if you or one of your team members or guests are diagnosed with COVID-19 and have used our space or facilities in the past 30 days. Guests are responsible for all post-event cleanup, there is a $125 cleaning deposit which will be returned at the end of the rental period once host and guest have signed off on cleanliness of the space.
