Guillermo is an artist, designer and independent curator. Originally from Argentina, he grew up in Brazil and came to the New York to pursue graduate studies in visual arts at Columbia University. In 2007 Guillermo acquired an old diary barn with 5 acres of land in the Western Catskills, starting a full barn redesign project. Today the space is shared as event space, film/shoot space, countryside retreat, design lab, art exhibition space, vacation destination and more.

The Space

Our space a charming renovated barn venue in the Western Catskills set in five acres of gently sloped fields, woods, and ancient stonewalls that has been restyled with a playful and young contemporary style, making it the perfect countryside event destination. The upper level, originally used to store bales of hay, has been tastefully redesigned as a 1500 square feet open space with ample 30 feet high ceilings. The space is ideal for photo-shoots in the country side, as it also offers perfect landscaped land (5 acres). A dedicated lighting system setup for a variety of lights, a Bluetooth capable sound-system with speakers, oversize 12' x 14' contemporary glass paneled full-view door with remote control and plenty of windows for natural light. The 1,200 square feet renovated area of the lower level of the barn, originally housing the farm stables, was fully renovated with an open space design and rustic-contemporary touch and sleeps up to 6 guests. Preserving some of the original building's details, this downstairs of the barn was reinvented as a loft-like living space and preparation area, which includes a spacious kitchen, one large full bathroom, two guest bedrooms with queen size beds, in addition to a study room with a queen size daybed which closes to become a private sleeping room. This unique venue makes it the perfect setting for your photo/film shoot, art event and more.

The safety and well being of our guests is our top priority. We are committed to the overall well being of our guests and have taken additional measures to ensure the cleanliness of our space. We have updated and developed cleaning and safety policies to help limit the impact of the COVID-19 spread on our guests and employees. Cleaning We are implementing enhanced cleaning procedures in our space to protect our guests. These include: We allow 24 hours in between guests. We are thoroughly cleaning our space and all shared surfaces regularly, before and after each booking, with disinfectant We use detergent to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs. Once the surface is clean, we spray with a disinfectant. We provide essential amenities such as hand soap, paper towels, and tissues, a trash can with foot pedal, etc. We ventilate the space before cleaning and it was used Hygiene While our space is in use we ask to please follow these hygiene guidelines: Wash your hands frequently and properly Use your arm or sleeve when coughing or sneezing, and use hand sanitizer regularly Dispose of tissues immediately and wash hands or use sanitizer any time you have used tissues If You Are Sick For everyone's safety, we are asking guests who are displaying even mild flu-like symptoms, including fever, cough, and cold to stay home. Social distancing We are strongly encouraging our guests to keep social distancing while meeting at our space and will not allow bookings for a large number of participants. Event Services Our vendors providing food and beverages, and other even services, are following our Health & Safety Policy guidelines. Additional rates apply when above 20 guests. We are pretty flexible and offer custom rates tailored to your specific event and budget. So please contact us with your event details and we will do our best to accommodate you! We also offer overnight lodging in the downstairs of the barn for up to 6 guests. Cost for overnight stay is additional.
