The Space

Our 2,500 sq ft production space is conveniently located in Chicago’s West Loop. 24’ x 24' stage with a seamless 2-wall cyclorama and grid-mounted RGB LED lighting. With two fiber Internet lines, edit bays, a remote production control room, and free parking, Mainstage Chicago is a future-proofed production space fit for the growing needs of Chicago’s creative community This Space is ideal for: - Live Streaming - Hybrid Events - Video and photo shoots - Corporate events - Music video productions - Food based productions (in our full kitchen) - Community Events Included In Every Rental: - 24' x 24' x 12' cyclorama stage - Permanent Cyc lighting with 6 DMX-controlled, full RGB Litepanel Gemini 2x1s (Adjustments to Cyc lighting made by staff only) - Basic Grip equipment: C-Stands, Apple Boxes, Sandbags, Stingers - Bonded Fiber Internet - Wi-Fi for work devices, hardlined Internet for broadcast control - Full kitchen (with a fridge stocked with La Croix) - Lounge area - 1 restroom with shower - Dressing Area with steamer, full length mirror and clothing rack - 2 six foot tables, 6 high stools, 4 folding chairs - COVID-friendly work areas - Dog-friendly work space - 2 dedicated parking spots - Free street parking in neighborhood - 1st floor access - no stairs or elevator - Studio Manager on site Additional Features Available: - Load-in/setup half-day - Production staffing with our in-house crew of creatives, technicians, and producers - Camera, lighting, audio, and broadcast equipment rentals - Seamless backdrops in a variety of colors - Access to turn-key broadcast control room with vMix capabilities Painting Our stage floor will be cleaned and ready upon your arrival. Clients can request a fresh coat of white paint up to 48 hours before their rental for a $150 fee. The Cyc floor and walls must be returned in the same condition in which they were rented. Renters are responsible for the labor and materials to return the stage back to clean white per Studio's discretion. The Cyc may be painted a color other than white for a fee of $500 + the cost of paint and supplies. This includes necessary prep, paint, and dry time before and after the rental period to restore the stage to white. All painting must be done by Mainstage staff. All other painting requests will be discussed on a case by case basis.
