The Space

Calling all creatives, makers, and interiors obsessed souls! Localhaus is a creative production space in a gorgeous, pre-war townhouse located in the Crown Heights North Historic District. We've hosted hundreds of projects for brands big and small and we take pride in providing the very best atmosphere for your creative project. The Localhaus Studio is a cozy, intimate space located on the ground floor ideally suited for film & photography, creative meetings, and petite dinner parties. The perfectly imperfect space is a study in texture and a valentine to NYC’s creatives and dreamers. You’ll find the devil’s in the details, as old world charm meets modern luxuries amidst a curated selection of home decor from our favorite makers and artists. Coming Fall 2023***) 1 Bathrooms, 1 Bedroom, 1 Kitchen, Large open Living Room 1000 SF interior space 1000 SF exterior space Ground floor access White walls Natural light Private backyard Fully furnished/propped Multi-day bookings welcome* Overnight storage available* * Please note, we currently live in the studio space while the upper floors of the house are being renovated. For multi-day continuous shoots we'll need to relocate in order for your team to leave EQ and gear set up. Relocation fee is dependent on nightly hotel rate at Ace Hotel Downtown Brooklyn. Notes: – Posted rates are for ground floor studio space – Standard rate for teams 1-10 people. Additional $100/hr fee for teams 11-20. – 1k/day Film/Video Fee for productions over 10 people. – Please note that we rotate decor regularly to keep the space fresh. Please inquire about specific piece's availability if you are planning a shot around furnishings. – Flat rate 300 cleaning fee for interior. If your team will be utilizing the yard there will be an additional cleaning fee. Location: The house is located on Prospect Place two blocks away from the Brooklyn Children's Museum (11216). There is a subway stop (Nostrand Ave) located on Eastern Parkway and Nostrand Ave.. We are a 15 min drive to downtown Brooklyn, and 30 min to Soho/Nolita in Manhattan. Our street is a quiet residential street. We have 1 parking space available on property. On street parking available. What to Expect: We will greet you at the start time of your booking on site. We will do a quick walkthrough prior to your team's load-in to review house rules and answer any questions you have. For teams who book without doing a pre-booking scout visit, please know your team's footprint for EQ/gear, lighting, props, etc so that you can properly prepare to protect the floor/ground and other surfaces. Ram Board, moving blankets, etc are recommended to prevent scratches to flooring. Please allow yourself time to move furnishing back into place and complete load-out during your booking window. If you need additional time please let us know as early as possible. All bookings are considered "hard-outs" and will be billed OT at a rate of 1.5x the standard hourly rate. At wrap, we will do a video walkthrough to document the condition the space was left in. Anything we can easily clean with a damp cloth or magic eraser is considered normal wear and tear. Any items that require speciality cleaning or repair will be documented and billed accordingly.
