Mid-Century Glass House on 2.5 Acres
Chappaqua | YorktownHosted by Tod
The Space
Inspired by the glass houses of Philip Johnson and Mies van der Rohe, this airy, light-filled home features a 42-foot living/dining room, two bedrooms, an office/study, a library with natural stone floor, a modern kitchen and two modern bathrooms. Every room in the home features at least one full wall of floor-to-ceiling glass. Perfect for still shoots as well as film/video productions (and nice and quiet if you’re shooting with sound). Furnishings include Knoll, Herman Miller, B&B Italia, Kartell, Modernica, Eileen Gray and other classic mid-century pieces, accented by a collection of modern art and tribal sculpture. The quiet, secluded 2.5 acre property features expansive lawns, mature trees, massive stone outcroppings, three slate patios, a charming gazebo, a built-in pool and a 200-foot driveway with ample room for several vehicles. Also situated on the property is a separate 2-story, 1100-square-foot guest cottage for use as a production office, HMU/dressing room, staging area – or even as an additional interior location.. SUBSTANTIAL DISCOUNT FOR EXTERIOR-ONLY SHOOTS Note: Hourly rate is based on a still-photography or light video shoot with 15 or less combined cast & crew. For larger shoots, or for full-up film/video productions, please contact property owner with details. Certificate of insurance required for all shoots.
