I'm an architect who has designed this live/work space in Noho. It's ground floor so easily accessible with equipment. There is a common outdoor space, a fire escape, kitchen, living room with custom built-in sectional, record player, and projector, a separate bedroom with stained glass doors, a large walk-through closet, and a bathroom with claw foot tub. Lots of exposed brick, original hardwood floors, exposed ceiling beams. Contemporary and mid-century modern furniture.

The Space

Sweeping views from inside and out in this charming, light-filled home in the Silver Lake Hills accessed by one of the neighborhood's famous "stair streets”. The architect designed interiors blend original details from 1940--when the home was built--with a minimalist aesthetic that shows off the owners photography collection. Skylights flood the space with light at all hours of the day. Ample outdoor space provides for outdoor dining, including a grill as well as a garden bench and a large outdoor hammock. The bedrooms are tucked away in the quiet hillside facing side of the home. The bathroom features a full glass block wall, original to the home, as well as a large tub.
