The Space

This historic townhouse was built in the 1890s and has been lovingly and painstakingly restored by its artist/musician owners to serve as both their home and a creative space for film and photo shoots. AREAS AVAILABLE FOR SHOOTING The house has three floors: the ground floor, parlor floor, and top floor. Your booking automatically includes the spaces on the parlor level - the north parlor, south parlor, parlor bathroom, and connected hallway. Use of the ground floor (kitchen and addition) or the top floor (bedroom and bathroom) can be arranged for an extra fee, priced separately according to group size. For example, for groups of 1-5 attendees using all three floors, the rate is $210/hr ($70 x 3), but for the same group using only the parlor level, the rate is $70/hr. MINIMUM HOURS & PRICING For bookings of at least 4 hours our pricing is as follows: > 1-5 attendees - $70/hr > 6-15 attendees - $110/hr > 16-30 attendees - $140/hr For bookings of less than 4 hours our pricing is as follows: > 1-5 attendees - $100/hr > 6-15 attendees - $140/hr > 16-30 attendees - $170/hr RULES This house is a welcoming, creative space for those seeking a productive retreat in beautiful surroundings - and it is also our home. As such, we ask guests to please be respectful of our space. This means: - Arrive on time and be ready to leave on time (overtime is charged at 1.5x the hourly rate) - No smoking under any circumstances inside the house ($200 fee for smoking) - No partying, screaming, stomping on the stairs, etc. - No drugs, excessive drinking, or weapons of any kind - Mindfulness when it comes to muddy/wet shoes, items that may scratch the floors or walls, etc. - Respect when it comes to the various valuable and fragile pieces of furniture that we have in the house. ADDITIONAL CHARGES - We ask for a $200 security deposit, payable before the start of your booking and reimbursed within 24 hours after booking end, barring any damages/overages. - Our maximum capacity is 30 people. If there are more than 30 people in your group on site on the day of your booking, there will be an over capacity charge of $50/person. - Please make sure to be accurate when specifying the number of attendees you need for your booking. If your group exceeds the number of attendees agreed at the time of booking you will be charged an additional $15 per hour per additional person over the number agreed. - Overtime is charged at 1.5x the hourly rate. We are artists ourselves and know full well that the creative mind needs freedom and flexibility so we always work with our guests to make their time with us as comfortable as possible while still preserving the condition of our home. GETTING HERE The house is located in Mott Haven in the South Bronx, just across the Harlem River from Manhattan with easy access to the 4, 5, and 6 trains. There is free street parking making load in and load out easy.

Health and SafetyHealth & Safety Policy

The safety and well being of our guests is our top priority. We are committed to the overall wellbeing of our guests and have taken additional measures to ensure the cleanliness of our space. We have updated and developed cleaning and safety policies to help limit the impact of the COVID-19 spread on our guests and employees. We refer to the recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and CDC Guidance for Cleaning and Disinfecting (CDC) to implement the following: - Cleaning - We are implementing enhanced cleaning procedures in our space to protect our guests. These include: - Our staff is following the cleaning and hygiene guidance recommended by the CDC - We are thoroughly cleaning our space and all shared surfaces regularly, before and after each booking, with disinfectant - We use detergent to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs. Once the surface is clean, we spray with a disinfectant. - We are providing hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial wipes to our guests - We provide essential amenities such as hand soap, paper towels, and tissues, a trash can. - Hygiene - While our space is in use we ask to please follow these hygiene guidelines: - Wash your hands frequently and properly - Use your arm or sleeve when coughing or sneezing, and use hand sanitizer regularly - Dispose of tissues immediately and wash hands or use sanitizer any time you have used tissues - If You Are Sick - For everyone's safety, we are asking guests who are displaying even mild flu-like symptoms, including fever, cough, and cold to stay home. Please notify us if you or one of your team members or guests are diagnosed with COVID-19 and have used our space or facilities in the past 30 days. - Social distancing - We are strongly encouraging our guests to keep social distancing while meeting at our space and will not allow bookings for a large number of participants. (max 25 guests) - Event Services - Vendors providing food and beverages, and other even services, must follow our Health & Safety Policy guidelines.
