The Space

BULLET HIGHLIGHTS (complete sentences further below! 🤣) * easy parking * easy walking distance to Austin favorites Sa Ten, OMG Squee, Eastciders tap room, Friends and Allies * working art studio: lots of color, balanced with open space, white walls, and natural light * 3 large tables (10 feet by 5 feet) that can be pushed together * 1250 square feet with high ceilings * space for breakouts * living room and kitchenette * committed to sustainability (use our plates instead of disposables, and we compost) * small woman-owned and -operated Austin business * we love hosting! * multi-stall bathrooms just down the hall * discounts for repeat rentals and community organizations ABOUT THE SPACE We are primarily a working art studio, and when we saw that people so enjoy simply being here (the most common thing we hear when folks walk through the door is "whoa, it's like a dream come true*,") we decided to offer coworking and meetings rentals. Our goal when you come here is to take care of all the little things that would distract you from the content of your event. What makes the space special is the fact that we're an art studio, which encourages creativity. We strive for inspirational messy, balancing blank white walls and open space with tons of contained art supplies. SEATING We have three large tables on wheels, and they can be pushed together to form a ridiculously giant table. You're welcome to rearrange mid-meeting! Literally resetting the space together can be a great break for your team to reset their energy in the middle of a long day. We have several pop-up tables available. OPTIONS We are happy to work with you to arrange catering, coffee, etc. If we arrange food, we'll also provide service throughout your time with us. Team Building Activities ($) - We do team fun events! From a darts tournament aimed at paint-filled balloons on canvas targets, to calmer watercoloring, to screenprinting your company's logo onto shirts and bags and tie dyeing, we have many options to get those creative juices flowing. This stuff is our specialty! (We even know how to keep the mess to a minimum, we promise!) We also have facilitation experience and training, and we're happy to help you think through your day. Even better: let us help you build in short or longer crafty breaks! EXTRA INFO Power outlets built into the tables. We provide plates, glasses, etc. as part of Austin's Zero Waste efforts. We also collect compost. We don't allow bottled water or catered coffee boxes; instead we have filtered water and brew coffee from local roasters. The studio includes a kitchenette with a fridge, toaster oven, microwave, and dishwasher. We also have a small living room with a few armchairs and a two person couch. With 24 people and the size of the studio, breaking out into smaller groups is easy. We can even arrange our large shelving units as space dividers. Within Texas summer walking distance (like when it's almost too hot for even a stroll down the block): Sa Ten, OMG Squee, Papa Joe's Tex-Mex, and only very slightly further: Eastciders tap room, and Friends and Allies.
