I am both this founder of the venue and the co-founder of Heart of the City Ministries – a multi-ethnic worship ministry focused on racial reconciliation and Biblical unity. I have a passion for nature, a wide variety of music and enjoy gardening in my free time.

The Space

A beautiful Victorian-style concert venue and event center located on the second floor of the Old Milk Factory on the Rum River in historic Anoka. Being in the venue is like gathering in a large Victorian home with vintage wallpaper, a fireplace on stage, balcony with a great view, gorgeous décor and an intimate seating capacity of 130. There is also a lovely side room with tin ceilings and curtained archways that open up into the main room. And then, there is the back studio which typically serves as place where drinks are served or as a quieter seating lounge. We have a video camera mounted on the balcony with video screens in the balcony, side room and studio. We also have a large 12’ by 20’ retractable screen above the stage with a projector that can project either video feed from the balcony or any kind of video or Powerpoint from a computer. We have a high-end stereo sound system with a large amount of back-line equipment. Additionally, there is beautiful Bridal Room/Green Room that is included with the price of the rent. This room has windows looking out to the Rum River, a couch and chairs, a small refrigerator and a large walnut dining table and chairs. The venue features a regular concert series of diverse artists – both local and national – going from Classical to Jazz to Reggae, Gospel, Rock, Singer/Songwriter and many others. Lastly, the space also serves as a 5-star rated rentable venue for weddings, receptions, anniversaries, luncheons, birthdays and other events.

Health and SafetyHealth & Safety Policy

All high-touch surfaces and amenities are being cleaned and disinfected before and after every event. Additionally, we have touch-free trash cans located throughout the facility and keep a supply of hand sanitizer, paper towels and wipes available. Additionally, there is COVID safety signage throughout the venue for guests guidance and safety. Enhanced cleaning measures: -High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected -Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning -The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from the CDC -Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed The space has the following features: -Capacity is limited based on state and local guidelines -Space has HEPA-certified air filters -Space has access to outdoor air ventilation
