A lot of the interior furniture is modular, and upon request may be can be moved/removed to fit your needs. All furniture must be returned to its original position. Sitting or dancing on tables is strictly prohibited. No candles except for cake candles. All decorations brought in must be removed after the event. Absolutely no glitter or confetti is allowed. Violations may result in a fine. Music and Sound: Any sound equipment brought in must be approved by Host. Live music must conclude by 12am and also subject to approval by host. Music volume should be considerate of the neighborhood and must be turned off by 1am on weekends and 12am on weeknights. Guest Policy: All guests must vacate the premises by 2am on weekends or 12am on weeknights, or at the conclusion of the reservation, unless involved in cleanup. It's the booker's responsibility to communicate all rules to guests. Food and Beverage: Alcohol is permitted, but excessive drinking is not tolerated. Guests must leave if excessively intoxicated. Selling alcohol requires a permit and additional insurance. If alcohol or outside catering service will be served at the event, the placement of tables, tents, live music, catering equipment, etc. and vendor, must be approved by the venue no later than one week before the event. This ensures compliance with regulations and safety standards. Outside catering is allowed at no extra cost, with inquiries about preferred catering partners encouraged. Waste Management: Garbage and recycling bags and bins are provided. Dispose of garbage in the designated area. Failure to clean up properly incurs a $60 cleaning fee. Recycle and break down boxes before leaving. Checkout Procedure: Be prepared for a walkthrough and lock up at the end of your booking. Late checkout incurs a $50 fee, with an additional $50 charged for every 30 minutes beyond the booked time. Capacity Limit: The maximum capacity of the space must not be exceeded at any time during the event to ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees. Failure to follow this rule may result in an immediate shut down of the event.

This "only in New York" kitchen studio was built out from a raw space in a converted warehouse near the revitalized waterfront in Brooklyn's Sunset Park neighborhood. It has the charm of an old factory--high ceilings, original exposed brick, thick wooden beams, wood floors, and an open layout. It has a well organized, flexible, and professionally stocked kitchen and the room can convert to an intimate dining space for up to 35 people. But the space is flexible, with movable and foldable tables, and may be used for a range of different projects and events. A wall of natural light makes it ideal for photo and video shoots. It's been used for everything from cocktail parties to team building retreats to art classes to pop up dinners.

This is a set of seven rooms, totaling 1880 square feet, available for video shoots, photo shoots, and small events. Its shape is a square with one small corner omitted. The Classroom was most likely formerly used as a Sunday School classroom, as its located underneath a church. On one wall is a chalkboard, always stocked with new white and colored chalk and an eraser. Feel free to erase and draw your own creations. Two of the walls are beautifully aged with revealed bricks peeking out beneath a retro blue paint job. The floor is combination of black tiles and basement concrete. The ceiling is composed of tiled tin and exposed pipes. There's a door leading to the backyard. We've outfitted the Classroom with 12 school desks, a teacher's desk with a globe, and a shelf with school books. Four windows let in a significant amount of daylight. Six fluorescent ceiling lights fill the room with bright light, or you can keep them off and let the photography lights do the illuminating. The Back Hall features our TV Wall at one end of it. The hall is roughly 150 square feet, measuring 27 feet long by 8 feet wide and 7 feet high, with height variances. At the end of the hall is our Clock Staircase, lined from bottom to top with various clocks while paper umbrellas hang from the ceiling. The Clock Staircase is 30 square feet, measuring 3 feet wide by 10 feet long. Branching off the hall is the Safe Room. As an add-on, the safe room can be filled with money like the photograph. By default, it comes with the box safe and empty shelves only. The Safe Room is 18 square feet, measuring 3 feet wide by 6 feet long. Across from the Safe Room is Under The Stairs, which is also 18 square feet, measuring 3 ft x 6 ft. This closet has a claustrophobic cellar-esque look. The Backyard is roughly 600 square feet, measuring 45 feet long and 13.5 feet wide, its shape curving slightly. String lights add beauty and mood after sunset. Our new wooden fence serves as a beautiful backdrop. Outdoor installations like our antique furnaces, antique furniture, and bathtub give character to the environment. The Hall of Lamps is a 210 square foot aged basement hallway. The hallway is filled with a forest of floor lamps, which you can arrange or hide as you see fit. Numerous ceiling lamps hang above, which are controlled by a dimmer. Furnishings include a love seat and a large decorative cabinet. Turkish rugs hang from the walls. All the floor lamps and the bed can be moved to any room that you prefer. The TV wall is made of 21 TVs. Most of the TVs can feature your custom video or still image. This image is transmitted via our laptop, which is connected to our wifi network. If you have no image in mind, the TVs can display static. The Classroom is equipped with a 15,000 BTU Frigidaire window air conditioner to keep you cool in the summer and a 10000W Dr. Heater to keep you cozy all winter. The Clock Stairway, Back Hall, and Hall of Lamps are equipped with a total of 17 Phillips Hue bulbs, which can be modified to any color or warm or cool white light, along with a range of brightness levels. The space is provided at our default colors in the photos, and for an additional fee, you may rent a tablet which controls the bulb settings. You're also welcome to rent our additional lighting gear if you'd like a brightness that goes beyond the capability of the Phillips bulbs. Each of the four rooms, including the backyard, is equipped with three prong 110V electrical outlets powered by 20 amp circuits. The space is equipped with a powerful WIFI network. All renters are able to rent our video projector and project it onto the wall. Use of this equipment costs an additional fee. Renters are able to safely store their equipment in the space overnight. Depending on the availability of our staff, renters are able to be in the space 24 hours, 7 days a week, with the exception of Sundays, 9am to 3:30pm, when we are closed. There is bathroom access. We regret that at this time, our space does not offer wheelchair access. We’ve spent the last year restoring this basement from the 1800s, but we are not yet at the point where we can afford to build ramps or elevators. With the help of your rentals, our budget will get there. Thank you for your patience. Our space is more popular on Saturdays, and so you will notice that our hourly rate on Saturday is higher. This difference is intentional. Prices are also slightly higher on weekday evenings than weekdays during the day. This is located on Bushwick Avenue near the Halsey J and Gates J stations, and a 12 minute walk from the Myrtle Wyckoff L / M station.

Perfect for rehearsals, classes that involve movement (yoga, improv, etc.), film shoots, and of course performances! The stage space is 16 feet wide by 13 feet deep. A set of curtains separate the stage from the backstage space. Backstage, you'll find a green screen wall, a mini fridge, a couch, armchairs, and Keurig coffee machine - please feel free to use what you'd like! The stage right wall of the theater is a deep, rich, unique purple color. Tech booth, sound board, and basic lighting board are available, as are regular house lights. We have risers set up, as well as 45 fixed seats, and we can seat up to 50 people by adding additional chairs. Please note that you're welcome to use everything, but please keep in mind that this is a theater venue, not a blank event space. We cannot remove risers. We are also a theater venue in that we are not a concert venue. While we've had musicians, student concerts, musicals, and other things of that nature in the space, we're not set up to host events as if we were the Barclays Center. We're a blackbox theatre venue, we can't accommodate music that shakes the building or audiences that want to slam around the space. As of December 2023, we officially have fixed seats in the venue, which are listed in our photos. We have kept other photos in our gallery here that still show the old seating so that guests can still see lighting and equipment. UPDATED HOST RULES FOR CLARITY: - Rental hours are billed from beginning of set up, to end of clean up - this means that the time you book is the time that you have. We often have multiple bookings in a row, so we cannot accommodate surprise early in times or extra load out times. - Please do not bring in your own sound systems. We're not that kind of space. - Alcohol can be served, but not sold. - We do not have a kitchen, but catered events are welcome! Let us know if you'd like nearby recommendations. - This is a non-smoking building. - While we accept performances, we do not accept raves. Anything with moshing or music that shakes the building isn't a good fit for our space. - Please leave the space how you found it.
