This space provides a serene, professional environment for any meeting, conference or workshop. Our large (20x20ft) office space is detached from the main house, and comes with a large garage attached to it. Inside the office space we have comfortable couches, a large round table for meetings with 8 roller chairs, along with an additional 12 chairs for lecture setups. The office also features a 60’ tv, wifi, and a large 3x6ft white board! The garage, attached directly to the office, comes with a large fridge and freezer, comfortable couch seating, a coffee table, fans, and an abundance of outlets. The office space is complemented with a huge teak deck (16 x 30ft) staged with beautiful outdoor patio furniture, including a large umbrella for shade. The deck has plenty of room for more outdoor seating, and we have more chairs stacked in the garage available on request. If you are planning an intimate event or meeting, this is place to be! Additionally, the space comes with the living room of the main house (which can easily be closed off for you, for privacy during your event. The living room has french doors that open to the backyard facing the office, making it a great breakout room. Furniture can be moved as needed, as long as it's put back by the end of the event. Between the back office and the main house living room is a brand new, state of the art, 3 hole putting green - the perfect amenity to any work space. The outdoor area is filled with endless fun, including a basketball hoop, and an outdoor dart board. Free street parking, and plenty of on site parking. The driveway can fit at least 8 cars, and catering vans can easily back in to the garage with direct access to the garage freezer and fridge. *Special Note* The living room in main house is included in the office space as a breakout room or screening room. The bathroom is located in the main house near the living room so this is an added bonus and helps ensure workflow. We just politely ask that our renters take their trash with them after their rental time commences - we have had a few experiences of overflowing bins that can be difficult to manage. Music has to be down at 11pm sharp ( special days like NYE, Halloween, etc can go later) and your guests must be out by the same time, You can stay pass 11pm to clean up. we have a minimum of 5 hours per event when booking over the weekend. The 9,000 sq. ft home was originally built in 1926 as a Prop Design Studio for film and television, the Spanish Colonial style building has an heir of both elegance and comfort daftly mimicking its current owner’s temperament and style. Following that storied use of the building and for the next twenty-five years, the building was a violin factory producing thousands of violins and violas for schools throughout the country. In 1967, some fifty years ago, Costume Designer Rita Riggs purchased the building and made it her studio for her work with everyone from Alfred Hitchcock to Norman Lear and many, many more in between. Rita predated the current interest in Shared Community Office space by offering space to a select group of design professionals that understood her passion and talent for high design and an interest in making a true community out of the workplace. Organically, gracefully and with no pretense, Rita was way, way, way, ahead of her time. Recently, the building was painstakingly restored to its former glory by Architects who are 30 year inhabitants of the this very special building.
